quick big 3 question

Hey,

quick question, im doing the big 3 and on my alt there is a rubber thingy to protect it, do i need to do something when i put the terminal on that?

and also, it appears 2 wires are going to it, do i need to put another on there or just from the + to the + on the batt

I notched out the rubber piece so it would fit over the new larger terminal I used.
