doing an install on my friends mazda6. it has the the factory bose system and head unit and wants to add an amp/subs in the trunk. (audiopipe 1500 - 2 T600 subs)

I installed a PAC-LOC off the 9 in bose up thats in the deck lid. everything comes on and works but the really big problem is the sub amp gain does not work.

if i turn the gain up or down there is no difference. it seems to be preseted at a certain level. where did i go wrong here?
