ive explained my position on caps a couple times on here so ill give you the cliff notes.....
owned a 2001 civic currently own 2005 civic....basically the same car....
01 civic= no cap,stock battery, 500rms system. lots of dimming, bass always kinda muddy.
05 civic= stinger battery, 3 farad stinger cap, 1400rms, in dash dvd nav, no dimming, voltage stays between 12.5-14 volts at all times.....im sure its a combination of deep cycle batt and the cap but nonetheless it definately helps......
