Hey I have a JL Power Wedge box for two 12's. JL includes insulation like cotton in there boxes to supposedly get a better sound from the woofer I'm wondering if I should take this insulation out. I've been using it for like a month now with the insulation in and it hits but I was thinking if I take it out would that give that sub more air space therefore giving me better bass.

ya, thats polyfill.. leave it in there.. if you take it out, you will notice the sound levels decrease.. if they CAME in the JL box from JL, then you know it's right.. but dont take it out...

Polyfill ***** man. It dont matter if JL put it in to fool the box there have been many tests on the effects of polyfill and most people will say it works great for 6X9's and smaller speakers but for subwoofers its just not needed.
