question on redlight ticket

They cash your original check and give you a refund...but if you never cash the refund you receive, the transaction never ends...and they don't record it.

Just never, never, never ever get stopped in that county for the same thing again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

most lawyers in this area offer a free consultation......

Consultation does not mean they will tell you want to do in front of the judge... They will review your case with you and give you a fee, and can tell you the chances of winning the case. Normally they will beat around the bush and come will imply that you can not win unless you have their assistance.

Hah, wow thats awsome Jack. Have you dont this before, and KNOW it works?

I personally haven't done it...and there are holes in it, for sure...but it's commonly documented and the theory is relatively sound. Might want to do some research beforehand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

heres another thing on the ticket it said approximate speed 20mph. i think that if you were trying to run a red light you would be going a little faster thaan 20mph

Well not really, if you are turning, most people do not take turns all that fast....

But the refund thing, Jack is saying to write a check for ~$5 over the amount due. They will send a refund to you, and if you do not cash it, the case will never be closed and should not be put on your record against you.

Never taken a law class, have you? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Logic and the legal system don't go together. Otherwise, they wouldn't have to send you to deprogramming...I mean school for four years to teach it to you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i dont know why its $400 either that seems a bit high to me. i see signs posted all around that say red light violation $277 thats a big difference from $400

Read exactly what he wrote down on the citation.

Sometimes, they might get something wrong...like make/model, or color, or a letter or two of your license plate. If you find any of these, you're in a lot of luck - because most judges will throw out cases if the cop wrote something that's wrong.

If its not too late, ask the cop for the tape, Usually they are always recording, also ask him what his story is, how he figured you ran the light, if you were stopped then went after you waited, didnt he see that you were stopped? Of course he is going to think he is right no mater what, and the judge too.

Anyway the tape helped me in my case, cop was a complete idiot and lied, he was even talking about the tape. I guess he forgot what was really on it.

Oh and on the refund thing.......we'll see if it really works here in a few months //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif its been like 5 monts im going to wait 6 more then check.

Heres what to do..postpone the court date as late as possible to contest, then ask all the ?'s devillain said to ask, and bring your g/f for a witness regardless if she knows you or not, its still good to have a witness in case the cop slips up.

Postponing it will make it less likely that the cop will show, and work in your favor.

If the cop actually shows up, the outlook is dim. Around here, however, they're such in need of ticket revenues the pigs almost always show.
Getting a lawyer involved would help; they tend to look down on you if you represent yourself - but that's going to cost almost as much as the ticket //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
