Question on gauging and watts

Alright so i recently got an amazing deal on two 10" type r's in a box with a 500w alpine amp....all for $120. obviously 500w isnt enough to power both subs so i am planning on buying another 500w alpine for around $40. the type r subs are last years model i believe...i might be mistaken, but are there two model years for type r's? anyways. will those two amps be enough to max the subs out? or atleast get close. and what gauge wire am i going to have to use to run those two amps, considering im going to have the amps on the box so its not a long run, but the power cable is running to the back of a 1990 suburban....thanks for any answers!

depending on ohm loads those amps make most power at 2ohms so keep that in consideration I would buy the other 500watt amp for 40 if its alpine thats a good deal and the old style type r rms is 500 or 600 I cant remember so thats a perfect setup . Run zero guage to the back then run a splitter with 4guage coming from that to the amps

check out knu concepts cca zero guage its very thick and pretty affordable and its mostly wire not insulation it would fit your setup perfect.. I would also advise a second battery to keep light from dimming

0 guage is way to big for those amps you can get an adapter tho but if you dont plan on getting more power or a bigger amp just get 4awg cheaper and all you need

thats why I said use a splitter zero input two 4guage out it would be perfect and those are pretty good amps do a little more than rated so I would reccomend zero into the 4 splitter thats just my 2cents though..
