No, not gonna hurt it with low power.

Another amp you could look into if you haven't already is a CT Sounds AT7000.1D. Rated 7000 watts at 12.8v. Will do a lot more at 14.4v

2 g31 batts is a minimum to run one of those at its full potential. But if you wire it low, you better be getting another 1 or 2 of those G31s.

For reference, i ran a 7k amp at .25ohm on 3 75AH batts, 2 Kinetik 600s, and my stock 90ah batt and alt. still dropped to low 13 volts

or another reference is I ran 2 AQ3500s at .25 each with a batcap 8600 and 275amp alt and dropped from 15.2v to 13.5v. clamped about 11k out of them

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am talking 1 ohm max which is going to be drawing alot less power than those rates.

still 5k watts at 1ohm. gonna need 2 31s atleast for that. however, if you are going to compete, check out the battery rules for it. if you can get more, wont hurt.
