So I'm building an sq build in my girls 2014 lexus es350 350 and we have slimmed down our options to either 2 sa 10s or one x 12 with stock spider and nsv3 coil. I need some opinions on what will sound better between the two. This will be in a 4th order with the port through the armrest, powered by a sae 1000d at .5

Heard 2 v4 12's today off 9000 rms lol, things get low as fck, luckily i have ear plugs. An average person wouldnt need half of one 12 to be COMPLETELY satisifed.

SAs are better suited for 4th orders.
cool thanks yea I'm pretty **** sure we will do the sa 10s now I just bought an sa 12 too that's gonna show up here tomorrow :/ guess I gotta put her up for sell I would of loved to get 2 12s back there in a 4th but we really don't want to sacrifice her whole trunk I'm hoping with the 2 10s we will only have to use half. I have no 4th order experience at all the guy that built my wall will be doing just because simply he does excellent work and has 20 years of experience. But basically since sa 10s want .5 cubes sealed and up to 1.25 ported would that mean 1 cubes sealed and 2.5 cubes ported??

1 cube sealed for both and around 1.5 to 3 ported. Smaller ported for a wider bandwidth, larger for more output. Use about 1/3 cone area for port area, and make sure to have the subs inside the ported section so you can smell any problems and cool the subs better. For a daily box I would calculate your sealed chamber resonance (Fc) and tune to that number. I'm on my phone so I don't have the formula in front of me now.
