Question on a SQL setup, Tantric SHD

[Theory]

Vehicle I am working with is a 1978 Z28 which has an interior of around 74 cubic feet.

Sub:

Tantric SHD 15 (Firing into the cabin with the box in the trunk)

Amp:

Ampere Audio AA-5000.1

vs.

B2 audio Zero.7s

Thoughts on which amp or do you think something different should be implemented.

This is meant to be an SQL system.

What's your electrical gonna look like. The zero .7 will need a strong backing since it will put out 2000 rms more. Both are solid amps tho as well as the Sub

I am thinking a big alternator and 3 decent batteries.

There is a 400 watt difference in those amps as they will both be running around 14.4 at 1ohm

Actually the zero .7 is capable of. 7000 rms You might need more electrical for this amp

Another amp you could do is a Sundown NS1. Rated at 6300 watts I believe

I say get the Zero.7. You probably won't see a full 7kW RMS normally anyway. You will need more electrical, either wire to 4 ohms or take it easy on the gain or volume until you reinforce your electrical.

I want to stay at 1 ohm as there already is going to be a huge draw in power. I am looking more to stay around 5000 watts daily with whatever amp I get but maybe a max of 7k watts for small competitions I enter. I want to stay away from sundown audio amps as they have diminished from their original quality I have been told time and time again. I am not looking for the cheaper system that will get me by as I do have a lower end budget I would rather pay for reliability. I have been told ampere are the quality of the older sundown audio amps but I am still looking for other options.

Currently looking at the Shok Industries Shok Five.

My electrical is in my sig and I don't drop under 14.1v full tilt over 1000 rpm. I do keep it very clean also.

Rule of thumb I always use is 55 ah per 1000 rms and your 320 amp alt should support 5k at least

That plus a 270+A alt should be fine on a 5k. Gonna want a battery or two more most likely if you go with 7k. But get the bigger amp, drop it in, and see where you're at.
