Question: hifonics and kicker??

I'm getting 2 12 kicker comp vr's (the old version). I'm thinking about geting a hifonics amp for them, do you think a brutus 1000d would be too big? What should I use? I looked at a couple of zeus models also. Any help would be awesome, thanks.

So the bx1000d isn't too big? cool, now how should I wire them? Their dual voice coil aren't they?

yep, DVC, get the DVC 4 ohm model

just parallel both the coils and the woofers down to 1 ohm and you're set

i would stay away from brutus classD if you want power & quality i would go with a memphis 1000D i've had nothing but good out of my memphis.

A lot of people swear by the HiFonics Brutus series. They are excellent amps for the $$$. If budget is not a concern, of course there are better amplifiers. If you are going to do the "budget" thing though, at least do it right.

I just found out the comp VR's are 2ohm dual, how would I wire that? The speakers are wired in a series in the box.. Should I change that?

only options you have are 0.5 ohm or 2 ohm load(

yup, unless u run one sub wired in 1 ohm to one Hifonics amp like the BX500D, but that might be a little more expensive than the BX1500D.
