Question for the 15L7 users

i just put two 06s15L7 subs running on a 1500.1 Kicker amp in a 10 cube box tuned to 33 hz.
finished the intall last week and have been testing it for the last few days to be sure i like the box. they is installed in the back of my F150 super cab.

all i can say is ****! problems so far are as follows. back slider window fell out of its track. front face of dash had a clip break. rear view mirror lasted only two 40 HZ test tones.,

get more power running to them, and im sure you will see better numbers. They can handle double the power your sending them

so for the L7 fifteens, it seems like they perform best when tuned to about 35Hz?

They do well around the freq. Thats about what my box is tuned to.

ya think? i have my gains set just a little over 1/4 of the way. i am getting 2.1 volts out of my head unit at the amp.

I took my head unit turned it up to 45 out of 62 clicks. i set everything flat and then turned up the gain until i felt that it started to distort. the problem is it got so loud that it was very hard to tell if it was disstorted or not. so i left them where they are figuring that was safe. you think i could use more gain?

The only way to tell if your getting the full potential out of that amp is to have an o scope, either that or a volt meter. I was just saying the 15s are able to handle 2kw of clean power, each woofer.

yea 50 soemthin is way too high for the 15. i had mine in 6cubes @ 30hz w/ a kx1200.1, wow. it was great; thinkin about goin smaller so lookout for a 15 L7 in the classifieds soon:naughty:

so would a 6 cuft box be to small to run 2 l7 15

^^^^ yes sir, l7's are really picky about the box and airspace there in I would suggest at the very least 3.5 cu each but try to squeeze 4 each if you can

i have a 06 l7 15 in 5.6cuft ported 34hz box but im only running 800 watts to it im thinking of geting a hifonics hercules-xx thats 1300 watts @ 2ohms will i notice a difference
