The amp did not make rated power at 1 ohm.

Never did I say you can't get loud with Taramps and I did not blame the equipment.

Find me one fucking clamp that is rated for the HD8000 (and the amp survived).

I don't care what it does at 2.5, that's not the point of the argument.

Again, it isn't going to make rated power at 11V. I'd wager very few amps will. It's also commonly understood that Brazilian amps in general aren't meant to drive lowest rated impedance. I'm quite confident that it would make rated power on 14V for 3 second burp to 1 ohm. Eventually one will hit the dyno with a proper voltage supply and we shall see.

At the end of the day if OP buys the Taramps 8K and runs it to his 1 ohm nominal load he'll probably get more power real world than buying a Korean 7K and running that to his 1 ohm nominal load subs.

Anyways.. car went into shop today for overheating, I hope its the water pump because then it should be covered under warranty. Ill be ordering my alt this weekend hopefully and then a group 34 up front (if it will fit) and either an xs 31 or sms220 ( depending on what will fit in the spare tire well.) Ill just see what kind of drop I get and build from there.

Ill clamp it too if i can get my hands on a true rms meter..
