Question for Alpine DVA-9860 owners.

I'm about to purchase this unit from Crutchfield. However I had a quick question, about the Giga MP3 function. Once the car is turned off and then turned on will the song play where it was left off or will it reset to the beginning of the song, and also is it possible to fast forward and rewind on the DVD MP3? Thanks.
