question about wiring mono blocks

why is there smoke?
Alright If I have a mono block that is 1 ohm stable and puts out 1500 watts x 1 channel rating. and I purchase a sub woofer that is a dual 1 ohm sub how do I wire it 1 ohm load and would it be seeing 750 watts a voice coil.

By the way the mono block has 2 sets of speaker terminals so 2 positives and 2 negatives.

Would I take a wire from the positive terminal on one voice coil to a positve speaker terminal on the amp and then the negative from the same voice coil to the negative on the amp. And then do the other voice coil the same way to the other set of speaker terminals.

I know I worded this really bad hopefully you understand what Im talking about. Also will this mean each voice coil is getting 750

So i cant go like this

speaker terminal set 1:

+ on speaker terminal to + on voice coil 1

- on speaker terminal to - on voice coil 1

Speaker terminal set 2:

+ on speaker terminal to + on voice coil 2

- on speaker terminal to - on voice coil 2

is this possible and that would mean each speaker terminal had a 1 ohm load correct? and wouldnt that just cut the 1500x1 into 750x2?

So i cant go like thisspeaker terminal set 1:

+ on speaker terminal to + on voice coil 1

- on speaker terminal to - on voice coil 1

Speaker terminal set 2:

+ on speaker terminal to + on voice coil 2

- on speaker terminal to - on voice coil 2

is this possible and that would mean each speaker terminal had a 1 ohm load.
Dual 1 ohm = 1/2 ohm load or 2 ohm load
Also, if it's a mono amp the two sets of outputs are connected internally and are just there for convenience.
That would still be a 1/2 ohm load

who thinks I can run a dc level 4 15 with xl soft parts off of 1000 watts rms

Also if I run on .5 ohm will the box rise put me at 1 ohm?
Im pretty sure you will run a chance of cooking the sub along with that amp, either or/or both.:dont:If it were me,id run @2ohms for now, and get another sub later to run @1ohm load

box rise is changes as the frequency changes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Yea I understand it changes depending on the frequency but I dont fully understand the concept of box rise. I have no plans of burping it or playing a test tone it will be music. is there like a general amount of rise to be expected? or is it too small to even change anything

it has the XL soft parts though.
Dont bang the Dog Pi SS out of it, and you will be fine.Im betting that your electrical isnt a true 14.4v constant, for the amplifier rating for 14.4v to get the rms out of your amp???Have you done the big 3/w 0ga/added an extra batt/installed at the min of a 200amp alt for supply, and ran 2-0ga to the amps supply??If not, you will not get 1000rms,.Running stock????You might see approx 400rms,maybe a little more,@13.2v..You running old school amps??You will see more,.But he ll you have the sub..Try it out??
