8 ohm load

Have a chance to get 2 temp subs for cheap. They have d4 coils and my amp in sig is not 1ohm stable but puts out same power at 4 or 2ohms. I will need to wire subs to an 8ohm load....question is do amps put out power rated at 4ohms if their seeing an 8ohm load?

If you have a pair of DVC4ohm subs...you can wire to 4ohms by =Series/Parallel look that up. You do have DVC 4ohm subs right??
Question on the amp 4ohms/8ohms..No be like 1/2 the 4ohm load.Wire those subs @4ohms man..Pull up a wiring diagram @SonicElectronix for a DVC4ohm sub,at caraudio.com up on the page here,and print it out and wire it right.

Two dual 4s will give you 1 or 4. Not 8.

At least i got my 8ohm question answered rite...n btw..my amp buts out same power ay 4 and 2ohms...would that include 8ohms?

Alpine Pdx 6.100 and yes ive embarrased all the 04 members. I jus been wiring all kind Of subs las couple weeks...a few single 4 together and couple d2 subs. Usually jus go to 12volt.com n get most everything i need to kno for the most part.

LOL!! Hey man it happens sometimes..Hell I kept blowing a fuse on an amp,come to find out..being in a rush, i was putting the wrong terminals in the wrong spot..Felt like a jack a s s,thought i knew for sure which terminal was which without looking.Hooked up several times, and thought i knew for certain..after about 4 fuses..LOL!! Ya..it happen to be a sat after a pitcher of frozen Margarittas
