I have cdt-ef61fg

rated at 170rms at 4 ohm per side or both have no idea. So im thinking to buy this

http://cgi.ebay.com/Kicker-KX650-4-4-Channel-Car-Audio-Amplifier-650-Watt_W0QQitemZ200100383036QQihZ010QQcategoryZ39739QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

so the question if i hook up the amp only to the component do i get 325W x 2 @ 4 Ohm as stated or i still get maybe around 110rms x 4 at 4 ohm (i will not use rear speaker) ??

if you have other recommendation for the amp pls let me know, my budget only $170 so yeah im thinking about this amp below:

kicker kx650.4

JBL GTO75.4

infinity 7541a

Soundstream XTA720.4

dont know anything else that will do for my comp

so is that at 4 ohm or 2 ohm? and how do i bridge amp(sorry im new to this stuff)

All what I stated was at 4 ohm.

Bridging an amp: Use the + terminal of one channel and the - of another.

The instructions that come w/ the amp will state how to do it and the amp should have little diagrams no how to do it as well near or above the speaker wire connections.

If you are only running the front speakers, get an amp made to do that. You want a 2 channel, not a 4 channel.

I forgot to mention that.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

most 2 channel amp that will do 150rms per side at 4 ohm are expesive, and my budget only $170 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif if you know a good amp that will utilize full power of my comp i will very appreciate it

STAY AWAY from audioburn!

Look into the Massive Audio p4.400(I think thats the model) on ebay..

REALLY well built sounds amazing.. I'm running it on CDT 6.5" efcf components.. and it souns much better than my memphis 4ch rated at 100x4@4ohm RMS 150x4@2ohm and 300x2@ 4ohm mono... I picked up mine for $135shipped (used) u can get them new for $150+shp on ebay!

That kicker's a tank. By the description I can't tell if the noise was/is an amp problem or a problem with the guy's installation.

$150 almost seems TOO cheap.

Regardless - it's a ton of power. You'd only need 1/2 of what it can give you, but at the price it's definitely worth considering.

As far as a new amp -- on your budget, needing that much power I would suggest a small bridged 4 ch. You'll get that done a lot cheaper than trying to find a quality 150x2 amp.

I decent 50x4 should easily give you 150x2, if not 200x2.

There are plenty out there, when you consider that you don't need nor will ever use that much power on those comps. They can thermally handle plenty of power but the only portion of the musical spectrum that will call for that kind of power is the lower midbass and below. Those speakers will not like that kind of power from an excursion standpointin that frequency range. You will need to cross them over pretty high if you even think about turning it up with that kind of power. I have a set of Eurosports and 100 watts a side is way more power than I need and still leaves me with a ton of headroom. Those EFs really just don't need that kind of power. 100w should be more than enough. The difference between 100 and 150W is only about 2dB on the extreme top end. Not that big a deal for power that you'll never use.

There are a few that should power those nicely and fit your budget. If you use eBay, that will open up your options even more.
