Will the DD Z1a really work?

Will the DD Z1a really work unlike the Z1 and some of the other DD amps cause i really would like to get this amp once it comes out but i dont want to get it if its going to be a money pit like the Z1 was to some people...

i've heard of them being either a hit or a miss.. . . there have been instances where they were lemon's but i heard the newer ones are improved.

Well considering only like maybe 1/4th of the z1's had issues and have been fixed and if they havent been fixed they are being replaced with z1a's... (because the place fixing the amps moved/went out of business). I'd say they should work.

Ofcourse they will work, will they have issues have issues, who know's? How do you expect any one to have those answers when the amp is not even out yet...

All I can tell you is that since the z1 issues, DD has put more focus into the amp build quality and has a new build house. The build quality is up the to the place that builds the amp, DD should/is going to spend more time checking the amps once they come from a different build house now... Yes thats right I said sent from a buiild house, like most, besides a select few companies *zed audio* DD have their amps built in places other than the US. But they are sent to the us to be checked upon from now on I believe.

there sweet amps man the z1a is gonna be like 5000rms@ 12v 6500 or something @14.5 v and there testing it pretty low ohms and up to 16v i know when they start selling like mid may i can get em for 1000 brand new

Good, because he is a horrible guy to work with, I tried to buy an HD3 from him, I told him an offer, he said ok, then I said wait a day for the cash to get in paypal and he's like well don't send it I am still taking offers... The Z1a is going to be right under the cost of a Z2, it uses alot higher quality parts and alot more parts than a Z1, its also 9inches longer. It's a big mofo

well i don't think spluvs2install is getting his z1 replaced with a z1a.... or jeremiah's 2 z1s being replaced with 2 z1as..... but they z1 wasn't built at the same place as the z2.... but the z1a is! which is a good thing being that the z2 hasn't had problems... or if it has i haven't heard any...

ya me too i heard lot of bad things about the z1, heating up quickly, some random stuff happening...

but im sure the new version will be taken care off!

why would they do that?

the Z1a will be a 14 volt amp that is 16volt capable

the z2 is a 16 volt amp

they will do different power

the z1a will be very effiecent, a more daily suited amp.

Jeremiah has been waiting on amps for months...Personally I wouldn't mess with the DD amps.

Love their subs though.
