I have a 98 Dodge Intrepid, it has the ES package, which means the stock speakers WERE infinity until i blew them with the head unit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Anyways, i planning on getting a pair of 6 1/2" Infinities for around $100. Installation for those two front door speakers is $40, i say **** that. Give me some advice on installing the door speakers (i want them hooked up to my stock wires, so it should be easy).

I do have an after market stereo with everything wired.

I was just thinking i would take the stock speakers out, unhook those wires, put the wires in the new speakers, then hook it back up and i'm set. I'm thinking there might be a catch, or something i don't know.

So i come to you fine fellows to ask you what exactly i need to do =)

Here's the link to the speakers.

Do you already have your speakers? If you don't I will tell you you can better for the price, Pheonix Gold RSD's are one likely candidate, google them.

Yes, it is generally that simple. Depending on your car, there are several instructional videos out there if you need them. Eventually you should put an amp on them for the best sound, but that will require running new wires.

I don't have the speakers yet.
