Okay, so my buddy gave me his old PowerAcoustik 3 farad powercap out of his car he wrecked. Cool. Now i jsut need to figure out how to run it as far as wires. I searched around on the forums, and only got old dead threads, so thats no help, considering the information was crap, so i decided to make a new thread. I was told by a local audio shop that my cap should run between the battery and the amp. I already knew that. They said that it should be in line with the amp, not with a distribution block. Now that i cant understand. So it would be like this : battery->inline fuse holder->powercap->amp? or battery->inline fuse->distribution block->amp and powercap separate?... also, i read that the powercap should be grounded at a different location as the amp... i was planning on using a grounding block and gounding my amp and my cap at one central location... is this right or whould i put the cap's ground on a separate ground location?... i thought that if i grounded it separately i would get ground loop noise coming from the amp or something... anyways... any helpful information would be appreciated.. and plz dont post stupid crap like "search, noob" or something like that, cuz i tried that already.
