i have a pioneer GM-D8400M amp and theres only one negative and one positive input for speakerwire. i want to run two subs off it and im pretty sure i can but i just want to check cuz im pretty new to audio. so should i just put postives in the possitive input and two negatives in the negative output? thanks.

heres a picture to show you what it looks like.

the MTX's are just cheap kinda shitty ones im puttin in my girlfriends car. she just wants a little bass so there good for her. anyways these subs can handle 200w rms at 4 ohms each and that amp putts out 300wrms at 4 ohms and 600wrms at 2 ohms. so if i wire it up like that and its at 2 ohms wont i be over loading the subs seeeing im putting a 600w load on the subs that can only handle 200w a peice? thanks for stick in with me

Ha search it I can't type out a detailed explanation I'm posting from my iPod. Basically you need to learn how to set your gains correctly

A good signal looks like an ocean swell on the o-scope. Rounded tops and bottoms. A clipped signal come from pushing something past it's limits.Distorting and stuff. head unit or amp. It has a flat top and bottom. Kind of square.

It makes your subs stay extended just a little longer, The sub won't cool as well and overheats then blows.

Thats my understanding anyway.

alright so basically just start with the gain low and go up below the point where it starts to sound like shit?

Yes unfortionately oscopes are very expensive ha so the easy way of properly setting gain isn't always obtainable. But a dmm can help

wow. lol this is the point where the newb gets confussed. so when theres two positives in the postive input on the amp and two negatives in the negative input that means its at 2ohms rather than 4ohms? and i dont think these subs can even handle 2 ohms.
