thats the specs and shit on it

i was just wondering if i would be able to hook my my 2 pionner subs (120rms 400 max

4ohm) parallel cause i read sumthing sumwhre that if u hook up ur subs parallel and the amp isnt designed for it ull destroy the amp and itll be garbage...so i was just wondering if i would be able to hook up my subs parallel to this amp or would i be better off with the series hookup?

thx in advance

It all depends on the voice coil configuration on the subs, are they DVC, SVC, 4 ohm, 2 ohm?

Also, your amp is probably only 4 ohm stable in bridged mode, so if you create a lower load than that when wiring the subs, your amp will most likely fry.

specs on the subs

You just gave me every spec except the one that I need;)
How many voice coils are on each sub? And what is the impedance of them?

my book that came with it says nominal impedance - 4 ohms

and it says 4 layer long voice coil design

im still kinda new at car audio so go easy on me heh

look at ur subwoofer and look where u hook up the speaker wire. on one of the subwoofers is there a spot to hook up 2 the positives or just one? that is about as simple as it gets

then u have two 4 ohm svc subs. well if i were u i would hook up those up in series. there is probaly a diagram round here somehwere to look at. that will probaly give u somewhere round 400-600 rms so u just need to turn down the gain all the way and just work ur way up till u get what u need. hope that helps

His amp will fry if he does this.
Wire each sub to its own channel, thats the only way you can do it.
