Question about multiple fuses with a distro block.

My current setup is just 1 run of 1/0 from my battery up front to my Aq1200d (has 3x40 amp fuses) . It is currently fused with a 150A fuse.

I am going to get a fused distribution block (1/0 in, 1/0 out and 4ga out) since I am going to install a small speaker amp (something that does ~200 watts and will probably have 1 or 2 40 amp fuses)

link the distro block http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KNF-23

So the question I have is what size fuses are correct for the 1/0 out into the 1200d and the 4ga out into the small speaker amp.

the fuse protects the wire not the device it serves! http://xxx.bcae1.com/wire.htm

this mean that you put a the biggest fuse the wire itself can handle.. your amp has fuses to protect it. scroll down on the link above and you will find a few things that will help.. one is a wire and fuse selector diagram. you simply input your requirements and it tells you what size wire, fuse to use. very simple. the other that will benifit you is the wire size chart. this one tells you what size fuses (min-max) to use based on wire size. for your 1/0 wire the chart says the max fuse size is 325amps. i use a 250amp on mine. smaller is ok as long as your not blowing fuses. too large and the wire could over heat and melt causing a fire!!

oh and the fuse should be as close to the power source as possible. not more than 18" from the source.

hope this helps!
