Question about mounting depth..

Can anyone tell me how much space I have available in my doors?

I have a 1996 GMC Jimmy 2 door.

I am just about ready to order a set of CDT CL-641s but I want to make sure that the 6.5 will fit in the door.

I have not been able to find this info anywhere. The mounting depth of the speaker is 2 13/16''

Can anyone help or at least tell me where I can find out?

You can find out right in your vehicle. Take out the stock speakers and measure

thanks dude, but i was hoping for an easier method //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif If i have to remove the door panels, i would rather do the deadening, wiring and mount new speakers all at once.
