He already cut it at 11 should I get it all re cut for 20 dollars or think it might work at 11?ahh ok
i got it now and that looks like it should almost work, but the cut out needs to be 11 1/8
So what do I do with the silicone? Put that on after I glue it or what?Use silicone, not caulk. Build the box before you cut out for the sub, but be sure not to put any screws where you'll be cutting. The cut out needs to be 11 1/8 inches. Drill pilot holes and don't screw close to the edges. Don't get discouraged if you mess up because most everybody does on their first box. Good luck.
You don't need anything else as far as sealant goes. Your old terminals should be fine as long as you can get them out of your old box in good shape. post pics along the way and we can give you some tips on what to improve on. Have fun with it and don't let it stress you out.Ok sounds good.
Do I need to put anything else inside the box and do you think it would be ok to use the terminals from my old MA audio sub?
It might but you can probably get a little extra off the top and bottom piece with your jigsaw.Think I can get away with less then a 11 1/8th cutout? My wood is only 11 inches high
I believe you need 2 linear yards if you get it from there. Wal-mart has 3' by 6' rolls for around $10 and you should be able to get by with one roll of that. Don't forget the adhesive. The 3m on the bottom of that parts express page is what I'd use. They have it at Wal-mart too. One can should be enough.Alright. I am going to start tomorrow. Ill post some pics as well
Think this will be enough carpet or should I order 2?
