Question about batteries

There are several reasons and times when you would want to run a second battery. Some of hte most common reasons are...

Playing your stereo a bunch with car off,

Using a larger amp and needed reserves are a must,

Added for better power control to keep dips out of your electrical system,

and many, many more.

when you notice your light dim alot its a sign. way i go about deciding to upgrade my alt and add a battery goes by the size of the system, stock alt size and how much i beat on it. general rule of thumb is when the amps can draw 30% or more than your alt can put out its probably time for you to change alts. (i just figure you all are probably younger and crank up bass more than i do). remember your 1500 watts of amps are not going to draw 150 amps all the time (unless its test tones at low impedance with no rise lol) music is dynamic . during the time when the system isn't drawing alot of power the alt can recharge the batteries. some people will argue but back in the old days we used worse batteries than they have now and had good results with less efficient amps
