question about bass impact on idle

Whenever i am idling at a stop light or just stopped and there alot of bass hittin g the idle seems to drop while that beat is on and then comes back up when it stops. It seems to me that maybe it is causing too much of a strain of my electrical system. I have a 2 farad capacitor leading to a rockford p3 12" that should only be getting around 300rms power at max from my amp. Is this just a sign of a weak alternator? The battery is fairy new and only about 4 months old. I would take the alternator off and test it but this alternator is underneath everything and is a ***** to take out, so i was wondering what the issue could be. Thanks for your time
