Question about amp i just got

It is one of the nice Xtant amps. Rated for 600 watts rms @ 2 ohms. It's worth $200 to the right person, but the right person hardly ever comes along these days. At $150 + shipping or around $165 shipped it'd sell...

You're right, I guess it depends on the buyer.

I will say I spent a bit more than $200 on a US Acoustics USA2300 (300wx2) because it was Zed made, so I could see someone who appreciates the original Xtant amps might pay $200.

are those the xtant amps that have the changable freq chips inside them?

Those were the models right after they got bought out, IIRC. A local shop had these around 2003 when I grabbed a pair of the original X12's. Not really considered their older stuff, those had chrome heat sinks with the squares cut out and ended in a/b/c/d/i/ix..maybe more, I can't remember.

The pic is a tad blurry, so I can't really see how "nice" the amp looks.
If it's mint, I'd say $125 would be a good "friend" price. If it was mine, I'd probably ask $150 + shipping...

Going price on the internet is $125 shipped and that thing is about 15 pounds.

Nope these amps were pre mitek buyout. They were made by PPI.

You are talking about the M series (Mobile) those were the entry level amplifiers, Then they had the X series wich had the removible chrome fan shrouds and a series random c and ci ect ect as you said.

I have a few x403's sitting here needing repair, MTX no longer supports ANY Xtant products, Zed Audio is the only one that I know of that repairs them on a regular bases from what he told me on the phone.

The one in the photo is a Mitec (MTX) built amplifier, though they were not made from the same quality as the orignal Xtant in Arizona they still held their own ground and were not junk.

100 bucks is a pretty good price on it if it works.
