hello, i have this amp:
Kenwood KAC-8104D 1000 Watt Class D Mono Power Amplifier(KENKAC8104D) and other affordable Car Amplifiers at 6ave.com.
i believe most that most amps require the blue remote turn-on signal wire to sense when the head unit is on/off so it knows when the amp has to be on/off?
the manual for this amp says that a normal car head unit has a max power of 40W output and that the amp is turned on/off as the unit detects input signal. therefore it is not necessary to connect the power control wire (which is the same as the blue remote cable right?) this is written under the "Speaker level input connections" headline. i'm kind of confused.
here is a link to the manual to help you understand.

its on page 4
basically i am asking do i need/use the remote turn-on or the speaker level input wire or will the amp detect on/off using the RCA cables alone?\
thanks, nick
