Question about 2 12" Type R's

I am thinking about upgrading my 2 12" Alpine Type E's to the Type R's.

I am wondering if the Kenwood KAC-9102D amp would be enough to power 2 12" Type R's?

If not, What amp(s) would you reccomend to push 2 Type R's??

You also might have better luck in the amp section. Some of these guys will thump you in the balls for posting a ? in the wrong section. I would put more power to them. Loke a hifonix 1500 or any other amp in that rms power range.

1000W peak output @ 4 ohms, bridged

1700W peak output @ 2 ohms

1000W peak output @ 4 ohms

500W RMS bridged

500W RMS @ 4 ohms

850W RMS @ 2 ohms

I run a Hifonics Brutus 1205D on my 2 type R's. I am running it @ 2 ohms and the gain set right at 1/2 way. I have not had a chance to set the gain correctly, just by sound. It is a great amp for the 2 type r's. I am definately sold on these subs. Yes, I have the Type R Boner.

Not enought to push these subs to their full potential. I would try to stick 750 to each. But you will still get plenty of thump out of them. Give them a shot with this amp. If you don't like it get another amp.

something around a 1500 wrms amp i would say..... i tried 500 wrms once,.... it was alright... not like 750-1000 though.... just set your gains properly

try a hifonics 1500? there cheap

Out of curiosity, would ANY amp that Best Buy sells be enough to power 2 Type R's?? Reason I ask is because I work at Best Buy and obviously can use my discount to price some amps out, to see if I could buy the amp at work or get one online.
