Weather striping....The side has to be removable to access the subwoofer, and the weather striping helps the access panel stay air tight and with vibrations.

I see, so that is all that square cutout is for? I was thinking it was some kind of pseudo port or something, when I first seen the plans.

Yeah, from what I've read on quasi 6th's, they're either great or horrible.

I think mobile has designed a few though, and the customers seem happy.

I'll be meeting murph in a couple hours and he's bringing the sub.

I'll try to get a vid of it in action.

yeah as long as they are done right they are great, just picky and need a ton of math to get right

they leave very very little room for error, it has to be designed perfect to work correctly.
