quality rcas that are Anorexic

This is 3 pairs I am making for a job we have in the shop now. Each pair is less than 5/16 of an inch overall. Plus you can make them as long or short as you need without having an *** load of extra wire wound up in a little ball behind a panel or whatever.

Here are the pics of some of my RCA end collection. I also stuck in a standard telephone cable to show there is not a lot of size diff.

I use Hooker Audio, but I have been told that Parts Express sells them. It's all about getting them twisted right. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wat?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twisted_pair

Twisted pair cabling is a form of wiring in which two conductors are wound together for the purposes of canceling out electromagnetic interference (EMI) from external sources, electromagnetic radiation from the UTP cable, and crosstalk between neighboring pairs.

unless you were referring to those fancy twist lock turbine connector ends...

That is exactly right. Another easily understood explination is it put the conductive noise out of phase. The ends you use has little effect as long as the twisting is correct. I have used Stinger, Hooker, Monster and just about any other kind of screw top end out there with no noticeable diff.

If you want the smallest poss RCA's, you will have no choice but to build them your self.

yup make your own, its fairly cheap the most expensive part is the connectors.

not mine but here

some simple RCAs from Radio Shack works.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You have two types available

-twisted pair

-coaxial

The twisted pair really doesn't do much for noise cancelation but it's the most widely available option in car audio. I assume it's cheaper to manufacture although not necessarily cheaper to buy;) For the most part, the RCA cable used doesn't matter all that much. The noise floor is low enough that it doesn't matter in a car environment. You might consider switching to a coaxial type if you do find yourself having noise issues as it may help alleviate the noise. However, just shifting around the current wires a little might do it too.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
