You have two types available

-twisted pair

-coaxial

The twisted pair really doesn't do much for noise cancelation but it's the most widely available option in car audio. I assume it's cheaper to manufacture although not necessarily cheaper to buy;) For the most part, the RCA cable used doesn't matter all that much. The noise floor is low enough that it doesn't matter in a car environment. You might consider switching to a coaxial type if you do find yourself having noise issues as it may help alleviate the noise. However, just shifting around the current wires a little might do it too.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
This post has nothing to do with noise, and the twisted pair has everything to do N/C.

He wanted to know if there are skinny RCA's to buy. I guess he has a space problem in his car for wire routes. I suggested he make his own that way they could be as small as poss. Someone asked why the twisting was so important and then it got out of context a little.

But as we have all stated, you cannot buy a set of RCA's smaller than making them your self. So get some cat5 wire, twist them up, put on your ends and have 6 channels of RCA's smaller than a regular 2 channel set.
