quality 6.5's and 6X9's?

I think i've made up my mind on my sub i wanna get. Its going to be either a 2-12" nightshade, or 1 1-15" nightshade depending on space i have available. I just found out my car has 3 different kinds of speakers in it. I was wondering what are your thoughts on what you would change them out to. Im looking to spend a bit of $$$ on something good with a high RMS for those kinds of speakers.

My stock speakers are as follows:

2- 6.5 (rear)

2- 6x9 (door)

2- 3.5 (front/dash)

Again looking replacements for those speakers, coaxial if possible and high/higher rms for those kinds of speakers. I understand im not going to get a 500rms for those kinds of speakers but im interested in something alot better than the 'run of the mill' 6.5 and 6x9.

Thanks in advance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Good luck, I've asked this question a couple times with no response. If it's not about a sub, amp or wiring people don't want to talk about it. I guess all u need is bass and no mids/highs

I have faith. Dont spread your bad energy on my post please //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just because a speaker has a higher RMS doesn't mean it's gonna be louder. Say you have a Walmart Jensen 6.5 rated at 75w RMS and you have a Rockford fosgate 6.5 rated at 75w RMS the fosgate will more than likely be louder cause its better built and has better parts

@ dev199505... when i said "high RMS" i kinda just assumed everyone know i meant "quality." So, my mistake, Im looking for QUALITY 6.5 and 6x9's that will compete with a nightshade sub. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Pro audio is a classification brands like soundqubed sell good budget minded pro audio equipment but they require amplifiers your head unit doesnt doesn't put out enough power to let your mids and highs keep up with your subs

1) besides crescendo and soundqubed, what other pro audio 6.5's are good? I don't mind spending some $$$ on good speakers.

2) what about options for 6x9's?

PRV, Selenium, Digital designs, krome audio sundown neopro, , beyma, emininence, B&C.

with more money spent on pro audio(PA) drivers, the soundquality gets a lot better. They are drivers designed to get very loud and are very efficient with the power given to them.

Dont mind the 8 ohm voice coils on some of them, their sensitivity is true and through the roof. Lets say on even on head unit power, they have the possibilities to get louder than most sub 120 dollar coaxials on an amp.

If you want to throw massive power to them, they can handle it all too easily and get louder too. Pretty sure with two 8 inch pro audios on each door and a few good tweets, your ears will give out way before you mids get maxed out

I'd go for at least two 6.5s in each door and some good tweets. to keep up with those NS subs. You can get super tweeters to get loud but generally doesnt sound too good unless you have proper signal processing. You can go with conventional soft/textile/silk dome or ring radiator tweeters but you'll have to have extra. You'll need to be able to cross them all over properly too either through an active capable amp, head unit or digital sound processor (DSP).

Thanks for the info.

As far as putting two 8's in each door, i wont be able to. I have a 2014 challenger RT, that i want to keep as stock looking as possible. I dont want to start cutting up my door pannels //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The best i can do is put 2-6.5in in the rears and 2-6x9's in the doors (1 in each door)
