Q vs D9 vs ?

how long have you had the Q? i hear they need about a month to break in and then they start to sound much better

I can vouch for that. It took my 12'' Q about 1 and half month to break in. Once it did it sounded really really nice. Had it in a 2.0 after dis. tuned to 28 and it is "one" of the loudest best sound driver I've heard.

make alittle bigger box.1.2Cf or 1.4 Cf and tun it to 32hz

try that.

32Hz isn't my style but I guess I am down to making a larger one tuned to 28Hz.

I enjoy my TDX/D9 thoroughly,it takes all my eD 9.1 can through at it

and has been doing so for over a year....I also like the small ported box specs,makes for a compact high output solution compared to many other brands out threr

One of the guys in iasca is getting rave reviews on the sub portion of his sound quality install with the 12Q...

We highly suggest even playing them full stroke free air for a while at 20hz to break the suspension in...then they really tend to come around.

Here it is. Sure, it looks good but I just talked to the people who actually built it (had someone else build it 'cuz I wanted it painted around where the sub is mounted so I just *trusted* others..but thats my problem)

It seems to have gotten better, the lows kinda hit now lol. It's just struggling in this .5cf enclosure so I will fix that sometime soon..after I recover from my spending spree for new HU (AVIC-D3 + goodies = //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif)

I was hoping I could just make a larger enclosure and screw it to the main wall. Well they made everything one piece so I'd be losing the shiny red sub ring if I did that.

My rear seats are always up. The port is in/under where the factory 8" was, so it is firing into the cabin.

Yeah, put that thing in about 2 cubes at 28-32 Hz and you should be happy.

2cf is a tad large for a 10"..

I am just gonna shoot for ~1.25cf tuned to 28Hz sometime in the next month or two.
