Does anyone have any info on this alarm yet. Its not on DEIs website yet but i work at cc and it is in our inventory just not in stock yet. I called dei and all the guy could tell me is that the range is better. Im hoping they did something more than just improve the range cause it retails for close to $600. Im hoping someone here might have heard something about it, cause i just bought and installed an 881 but i might return it for this if its worth it. Thanks

I've had the Clifford 50.5x, which essentially is the same DEI alarm, for a few weeks now. About 2-3 times the range of your standard 3.5rsx or 791 two way system (I've owned both). Smaller antennas on both the remote and car. Other than that, not much different from the others. I'm definitely happy.

Good to know its in the CC system. Ive been meaning to check on it but havent had a chance as weve been slammed with installs recently.

its in our system too, but no warehouse or anything has it in stock. from what i've read its a mile range and it comes with a secondary remote... not a two way remote but on the back of a mobile audio magazine i get it had pictures of the secondary remotes... pretty badass!

other than that they're plug and play, same brain, just different antennas and remotes.

Im pretty sure it will be an lcd remote with responder, at least thats what the tag that printed out said. It retailed for like 579 i think, but ill print the tag tonight to make sure. I called dei again and they said they will have them by this coming friday and stores should have them the following friday. Hopefully it will be that simple

U sure thats the 990. Its the exact same as my 881s remote. the dei rep said the remotes and antennas were different between the 881 and 990

The only visible difference from looking at the outside of the new remote is the larger antenna on it as compared to the 881 remote.

woops, maybe I wasn't clear... from whta i've been reading they come with TWO remotes, like the 871. One two way, and one normal non two way remote. I'm almost begining to think that's not true though.

Yeah, I'm sure it is... like i said the current one is 500 and that's the installed price.
