Actually the CDA-9855,9835 were considered the top decks for 2005 and the last of the electronic swingface series.
A mint condition 9855 expect to pay about 200+

A mint condition 9835 expect to pay about 160+

Regardless they are both sick decks!

You can expect to pay more than that, quite a bit more if people know what they're buying.

I'm still loving my 9835.

I have not seen a good condition to mint condition 9835 go for less than $250. I would not give more than $200 for the 9855, not that it is a bad deck or anything but I did not like it near as much. After useing them both and doing the review, I still feel the 9835 is superior in build quality and is the better deck of the two. IMO of course. Feels like alpine built the 9855 in a different factory or somthing... was just a different feel and the glide touch... man I never like that at all. Was not my thing. Guess some liked it.

In fact out of all the decks I have owned in the last 3 years, which is a LOT of decks, the only deck I really "miss" and wish I still had was the 9835. So much so that most likley it will be going into the tC and be the last deck for the car.
