Purpose of a MONO amp????

Hey everyone!!! hows it bumping..lol..well ive recently been getting ino audio, and i have an audiobahn a1x400hq mono, and i didnt realize it was mono when i got it, and i was wanting some onfo, on how it operates compared to other amps?? any info will be much appreciated!!! thanks!

mono just means it has 1 output to a speaker or a load...it has one channel...mono is one channel, there are also 2 channel which has two outputs, and 4 channels with 4...it doesnt mean u cant run more than one speaker with mono...ud just have to wire the speakers together to get 1 load

Mono amp won't be capable of stereo sound.

Not important really for subs.

Very important for speakers.

yes, they are good for subs.

It IS a good choice, Squeak was saying that because sub bass is not directional/stereo. Also, many mono amplifiers are Class D's and tend to be more efficient than A/B class amps.
