purchasing a security system

Ive been looking around different places for a while, it just seems its a necesity if Im even considerin to upgrade my system from stock considering the amount of theft that goes on in the area. I was just which one to get... theres soo many choices. I know I would like:

-Long Range

-Remote Locks

-Remote Start (Would be nice, but not necessary)

-LCD Remote (Once again, not necessary)

-2 Way Pager Remote

But really looking to spend under 300... SonicElectronics.com had some real cheaps ones but never heard of brands before. Jus wondering whats good thats out there for a fair price. Dont wanna invest money than get everything jacked.
