ummm, well we already have a Miniature Chihuahua and a 5 year old little girl so i want a dog thats good for security and be great with the rest of the family.. Anyone have any ideas or suggest any certain breeds that would be a good choice to go with?

any of the bully breeds are great for pets.. Just raise them the right way...

majority of pits are naturally agressive towards other dogs due to the ****in idiots who fight them, its pretty much staind in most of their blood. if you get a puppy pitbull and raise it around the dogs then there will be no problem. the only issue will be if you get a male puppy and already have a male dog regardless of size there will be a dominance issue about 8-10 months down the road. but like i said if the dog is raised around other dogs and children then it will be the best pet you will EVER own! i promise you that! they are so easy to train (pitbulls) and are very intelligent. just dont make a mistake like some of the other idiots that do and try to make money off your dog.

I have a American bull dog and he is fine around my 3 year old and she lays all over him. Pinches his nose. they have been together for around a year though. He is very docile around her. But when someone comes in the gate he will let you know someone is there.

me personally im more of a fan of the Staffordshire bull terrier. The larger American is a good breed, but i still like the somewhat smaller breed.

Pits are great dogs... Ive had 3 grow up around my Lab and my sisters lil Toy Fox terrier and theyve always gotn along just fine. Hell I brought one over for a buddy that was 8 months old and it got along just fine with the terrier! The dog is what you make it. If your an ******* to it and treat it like crap then ya its not gonna be the best dog to you. But its not cuz its a pit its cuz you were an idiot!
