That too is what I thought, but I think it was bigbassman who swears that the power ratings of the power and punch series are the same, but I have seen the power amps with a higher rms on their birth sheets compared to their brothers.

50 watts more on 500 watts isnt very much at all

Yeah, but that is not the point, the point is that there is a difference.

The hell if there isnt a diffrence I had a punch 50.2 amp and it was running my two seires one subs a few years back and then got a power 50.2 and it poped em in a matter of a few minutes so thier is a dff a big one.

well you could have had your gains set messed up man. just b/c you blew your subs in a matter of mins doesn't really mean jack to be honest. anyway the 2001 RF punch amps versus power amps were about the same, hell i have a 120.2punch that is rated at 220 and a 200.4punch that is rated at 450watts, this years punch line sucks though i haven't seen an amp do over %65.

yuh but there are differences in the same amps by that much lol i have seen 52 watt differences in the punch 120's

I was just in disbelief, when I heard that it was the exact same circuitry. I did not believe that they use the same board.
