punch vs power?

i dont' know how clear i was on difference in wattage mainly what i meant was like the power liine has the bd 1500.1. but yeah there isn't much difference between the 2 except price.

Price and better x-overs in the power line is about it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Oh I almost forgot the most important part. It says power instead of punch. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Right it is the eqs and xovers just better ones and better parts also the powers are supposed to be more stable in lower ohms than the punches most powers are 1 ohm mono amps I saw that the lightning audio and bd 1000.1 amps have the same exzact board and same exzact wattage but still the bd would stay cooler and have alot more power it was all the eqs and xovers they are alot better than LA they used alot cheaper stuff in it but hey for the price its a awsome amp.

exact same amplifiers performance wise...

RF is playing the money gain, and you're hooked... I've seen 100-200 watt differences between the EXACT SAME MODEL AMPS... the numbers flucuate a good bit...

I had a rf and it was great....not one problem with it and it was crystal clear. Maybe I got lucky.

Bigbassman....you mean to tell me you've seen a 100-200 watt diff in the same amp? Like 2 exact same amps? How is this possible? Are you talking this kind of difference in 1000+ watt amps?

tolerences in components used to make the amp..i have seen audio art 50 hcs put out more power than a 100hc and the american bass amp (cant remember the name of it but was bassed on the 100hc) had "lesser" components but same design every once in a while you'd get one that was better at half the cost of the audioart amp

spddracer what you have against RF amps?? you ever used one?? i can promise my old 1000.1RF was cleaner and put out more rms and peak watts at 2 ohms than your jbl did at 1 ohm. plus i paid no more than you did for yours. but anyway yeah i've seen a 200.4 put out 450peak and then the one below it did like 350. i picked the 450 though:)

how b/c RF underrates there amps my friend. and you know that by the birthseet they give with all of there amps. my birth sheet says total watts 448 and it is a 200.4 amp.

If im correct dont they measure those at full power under a 2 ohm load ? But they say there amps wont be stable there ? HMMM Yes I have ahd quit a few of them 800.2 Not bad A500.2 power nice buzzing noise in that one and you couldnt get to the gain knob it wasnt placed in the right spot (this was new) , There not bad for sub amps but for a mids and high amp they **** and sound horrible if you ask me ! I think there are a lot better amps for what they a charging for them now ! And no Im not terrible immpresed with the jbl sq either but it does have a lot of power ! Maybe someday Ill find the perfect set-up !! still trying ! So far out of what i have tried I think my ppi 2150 is my favorite for mids and highs , and my orion xtr 275 is very god for mids and highs , Havnt really found a bass amp i like to much yet ! But like they say 10% product and 90% install , And im still woriking on installing everything right !

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif try a jl amp or a memphis i think you will like. also as far as "underating goes" i had a set of soundstream 3.0's rated at 12.5 per channel power bombing some 12 inch boston pros now in a friends ride. that is under rated not 100 watts over on a 400 watt amp try 300+ on a 25 watter
