Pulling Out Of Car Audio

You will come back to it. I tried to quit not a few months ago and sold all the stuff I had. It was some nice shit too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Now I put back in an uber budget, that don't sound half bad, but I swore I wouldn't do it right now. I just can't stand stock! So I upgraded to deck and componets.............then a sub, amp and crossover. Shit never ends! I will keep the stuff I have for now, because it is at least better than stock. Still can't get anything worth a shit for awhile though.....................priorities first, lol!

Kiss my ***. You do not know what the hell your talking about. Did you even read past the first sentence of those threads? Well if you did you would know that I currently have a JLW1 and a rockford amp. i also had two old mtx 8's. i admit my stuff was nothing spectacular but it was the best that I could do with the spare money I had. Someday I will get back into it and get real shit. But for know I'm out.

How much in total do you think you have spent on audio? It better be something decent dammit!

I have spent over 50k in audio since I have been 16. Do you seem me making a thread about getting out of car audio? I have done it probably 10 times trying to get out of it.

Good fawking luck! I do have a sickness though. Least I don't buy stuff unless I can afford it now.

The point was car audio did not make you materialistic, you did. Speakers and amplifiers were merely the material objects you were craving. What are you going to do from here, move to a deserted island and live of coconuts? Im not flaming you here, or your decision to post your thoughts here, but to blame car audio for your poor financial decisions is compounding more silliness on the problem. Car audio, as a hobby, is what you make of it. There's a guy whose post I read just last night that said he bought a car for $25 and was working on putting together a stereo for under $50 for it. A fun a project that doesn't have to break the bank.
One thing I will concede, these forums tend to make people think they HAVE to have elite $1000 comp sets, hand-built $800 subwoofers and award-winning $1500 amplifiers... when 9 out of 10 people here, if placed in a blind test, wouldn't know the difference in sound between them and your average mainstream brand equipment they sell at BestBuy.
