Publix?

Is that starting wage? Do they drug test?
Hell no that isn't the starting wage, and hell no they don't drug test. Just get a hot boss who likes popping pills at work. She will eventually give you all the drugs you want, hook up with you all the time, and pay you whatever you ask.

Note: I've actually worked there like two years. I stopped for a little while and worked at CompUSA for a while. When I came back to work at Blockbuster during school, I demanded more than the $9/hour I was making at Comp.

you gross at best $133 a week and can afford all that? and this is the second thread asking about where you should work. grow some intelligence and figure stuff out on your own. you'll be more successful that way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Lets see... $120 x 52. Thats $6,200. Plus $1300 from selling my old subs, plus $850 from selling my old amps. Yeah, I do pay for some expenses, like when i go out and what not, but yeah, thats how I made the money.

I need to grow some intelligence? Thats why I graduated with honors, got **** near a 1500 on my SAT, and got a 100% scolarship to any University in the state. Yeah, I must not be very intelligent. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

But this thread isnt about that.

Im just asking if anyone had experience working at Publix and if they would reccomend it as a job.

I know you have more posts than anyone on this forum...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bowdown.gif.b85b23b82970bd22fb6b549c3392f016.gif

But I dont see how that gives you an excuse to just be an ignorant fool. Maybe try stepping down off your high horse and not questioning/insulting anyone for anything that doesnt make sense to you.

Anyways, If you want to discuss what this thread is about, post away. Thanks.

well it's sad that an educated person like yourself can not figure this out on your own.

Im lost... How might I figure out how a place is to work, other than ask people who have worked there?
Please enlighten me, as I must be missing something.
you go and ask people in your town who worked there, but of course i'm sure everybody on ca.com has worked for publix, even though they aren't in the north. idk when i'm ready to take a job, i have certain people i trust for advice, not a bunch of youngin's on ca.com. i come to ca.com to BS and for them to help me with car audio decisions, not life decisions.

Not making fun, those are honorable accolades. But no one will care once you get to your senior level classes in school. No one will care that you spend the night at the computer lab building a model.

No employer will care really because that is what the expect of you.

Every employer will care if you knew about Murchoch's unsoliciet bid of Dow Jones CO a few days in advance.

I worked there for about 2 years. I didnt really have a problem with them, and would probably still be there if we didnt get a new manager who was a dick. the pay sucks, but the job is pretty easy. your only hope of making good money there is to get off the front end and work your way up. Managers there bank, our store manager made 100K a year, but he also put in about 70 hours a week. If you work as a bagger there I think your payscale tops out at around 8.50 maybe 9/hr, but it will take you more than a year of good evaluations to make that. You are probably looking at 7 to start.
