Alright so i am decently computer literate but i am a walking into this blind.

I have already bought/have/going to buy the following.

1. PS3 (only for the bluray and just to have)

2. 46" Plasma 1080p of course. (panasonic)

3. Nice Media Center Computer with Vista Ultimate and a 8800GTS

4. Bluray burner / disc's ?

So basically my question is should i actually get the PS3? I already have an x-360 and i HARDLY use that i really dont have a need for the PS3.

With the DVI-HDMI converter to give me 1080p? would i be ok with a Bluray Player / Burner on the computer and just use the computer as the bluray player?

i think one blu ray disc is like $15+ and a blu ray burner is already like 500 or so and then the time to download the movie is another waste. i would rather buy the movie for 30 bucks.

how fast is your internet? 15 mbps or more?

obviously money doesn't matter to you lol, you already said your 360 does nothing and your computer does nothing, so why not buy another system to do nothing?

i find the whole media center pc thing troublesome. I deal with computers all day everyday, and when i want to watch a movie I don't want to have to deal with a computer, I'd rather pop it in my ps3 and hit play.

lol i want to try and put my shit that is getting no use to good use.

i am a little different i want to dink around with it for a while lol i love messing with computers.

i think the discs are 10 a pop and i am pretty sure the burners arn't that much

For the money, I would take the PS3, over a BR burner/discs. If you were to just try to play them movies off the hard drive of the computer it may be a toss up, but to buy a quality video card to support 1080p would probably be a decent amount toward a ps3 lol
