It was the auto eq or the source level it was at +2 turned off auto eq and set source level 0 and 60 out of 61 no clipping from HU and reset gains and all is well ! now if I can keep the volume knob working blew it out and will clean contacts on detachable face and its all good ! Wow I am learning alot lol I would have never thought that would be the problem but all is well now. Plus i saved a grand too cuz I have wanted the P99rs every since I first saw it ! That is the best looking Hu I have seen and I have heard it sounds pretty good too. I really dont think I am ready for it just yet but someday ?
The 99rs is one **** beast but imho, unless your one **** good tuner, you'll never get its full potential out of it. Its far far cheaper to buy an external processor ontop of a prs80 and you get the same results, And its a ton easier to set things up on a laptop with some processors than do it on a what is a relatively small screen of a PRS(comparatively).
Invest in a digital sound processor IMHO. You already have an okay head modern head unit. A sound processor will make everything sound a lot better when tuned right.
