Ooops pics out of order ?

WTF thats probably what killed my amp ? highs and mids run 61 out of 61 no clipping at all ? when I checked it when I installed the CT7k it was clipping at 58 now its down to 48 ? is this a deck failure ? I have everything set flat and loudness is off and sound leveler is off also ? Anything I could have set incorrectly ?

And its a year and one month old so its just out of warranty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I actually have my sub level high and my gains set to operate around 47-50 depending on song levels. Every song will have different bass DB levels and thats something you will have to watch and monitor closely. If it stops getting louder, turn it down even more you are already past clipping.

Gains are matched with o scope and when I last did it deck didnt clip till 58 out of 61 ? So I set gains at 56 and never went over that ? I get what your saying but I need to check where it clips at 0 maybe thats the issue ? It may have been at 0 when I checked it last time

It doesnt matter what gains are matched at BASS RECORDING LEVELS are different in each song. The oscope is not gonna pick that up, only your ears will. With that bad of clipping, it could have been easily remedied by backing down a bit on the volume knob or the sub level. You need to know when to back off using yours like i have suggested earlier. Oscope setting is great but you need to know your own system limits.

I get that but my question is not really gain related yet ? This is out of the deck where its clipping at 47 of 61 the highs and mids are 61 out of 61 no clipping trying to figure out why ?

0 db ? Mine did at ? If I remember right I think at 59 on one side so I just set gains at 56 to be safe but it appears to have gotten worse ? And my sub level was set at +2

Tried resetting it but no luck ! I did play with sub level and it was at +2 on sub level at 0 I can get to 50 on vol before clipping measured at head unit at a 40hz tone @ 0db with oscope, If I turn sub level down to -9 I can get to vol of 59 before it clips either way ***** higher vol and no bass or no volume and medium bass. and these arent the loudest HU anyway seems like most of the volume knob is a waste - cant even hear it till it gets in the high 30s lol. I guess I should ask whats out there thats better ? I see the alpine 164bt not sure if its active capable ? anyone have any suggestions on single din active capable / ipod capable as well ?

80prs is the best out there(some would argue alpine but alpine has a different sound to it from what i hear) under a $1000 for SQ. If you have a warranty on your HU, i say send it back. Seems like a hell of an issue.
