Started working out again at the gym, just looking to get back in shape. Met with a personal trainer today (free session when you join this new gym), and we got to talking about what to eat and what not.
He told me after I work out my muscles need immediate protein, so whey is the obvious answer. Your body digests it quickly, unlike food which takes a few hours to reap all the benefits of the protein (eggs, chicken, meat, etc).
So, I bought some Whey protein. Each serving is 50g, which is two "heaping scoops" (they aren't kidding). Anyway, when I used to work out I'd mix one scoop with about 12 ounces of milk, and it was eh. Here is this guy's recipe for an "awesome" protein shake...I'm not knockin' the guy here, he knows his shit, and he told me it would take a while before I could properly intake all this protein without vomiting. I figured some of you hard core work out buffs had something else going on, maybe you could share the recipe. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
2 heaping scoops of whey protein
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
and I think there was something else
4-6 ounces of water and a blender.
Now there is no way in hell you can properly get all that whey protein to dissolve in such a little amount of water. I put one scoop with about 10 ounces of water a few minutes ago and it was beyond chunky/grainy, and I mixed the hell out of it.
Any other ways to get massive amounts of protein in a shake (40+ grams)? Just curious to see what some of you do...
Thanks guys.

Right now I'm 5'9" 180 lbs and I'm decently cut/built with a few pounds here and there on the stomach/legs.are you looking to gain or cut? a good body building recipe is 2 scoops of whey, 5 grams of glutamine, 5 grams od creatine, and 60 carbs... post work out shake
