Protection Staying On Amp

Yeah.

It's called send it in and get it fixed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

There is something wrong, either with your installation or internally within the amp, that is causing the protection light. The only way to "bypass" it is to fix whatever's wrong.

You can also open up the amp and remove the LED //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif You really need to have it fixed, but before that make sure the speaker wires are not shorted (ie touching together).

never be too scared of trying things yourself !!!!!!

Unless you have advanced electrical knowledge, it has nothing to do with being scared to try it yourself. It's about sending it to someone with the knowledge to troubleshoot the problem within the amplifier, and who has the means and parts to properly fix it. And if you do have the technical knowledge necessary to troubleshoot the problem within an amplifier and the parts and means to fix an amplifier....you wouldn't be asking us about it. So, I'm guessing you do not possess those abilities, which means you need to send it to someone who does, as it will be the most cost effective and time efficient method of accomplishing the task at hand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

As I said before.....if it isn't the installation, then you need to send it to someone to have it fixed. The manufactuer would be a good place to start...but they likely won't be the cheapest. K & B Audio would be a good place to look into.

If you knew what you were doing it might be possible to eliminate the protection circuit. But then, whatever causing the amp to go into protect will probably cause it to go out with a fireworks show, probably smoke incl.
