Protection Mode

So just recently if I play my music at the same level I always play it for the past month since its been installed it will go into protect mode after like 2 minutes. I read on the Phoenix Gold website that if it is going into protect it either needs a service or a bad ground. Can a ground go "bad" after working for a month if not does anyone know the price of a service or what they do? This is a PHoenix Gold Xenon 1200.1 btw.

What they mean is check the install of the ground wire.Maybe it is lose or it's not getting good contact from the car.To be safe check the power wire also.
