protection mode?

ok guys, gotta stumper for ya. i just did a big 3 on my car yesterday and took out my cap. wired everything back up properly...double checking as i go. get everything wired up and i hit the toggle switch....it comes on "YES"....goes into protection 3 seconds later "AWW SHIZNIT". whats wrong? when i wiggle the wires (power ground and remote) it will come on the go into protection again. please help guys.

Are you 100% positive you did not spark anything on your amp when you took the cap out, or undid any wiring? Did you remove the battery negative before you messed with any of the wiring?

My suggestion would be to take the amp out, and connect it straight to the battery with short jumper wires. And make sure you use a small wire to conect from the remote to the batt + on the amp, so it will turn on.

This will let you know if its the amp or wiring that's your problem.

i did dissconnect the battery neg before unhooking any wires. i unhooked one wire at a time taping the ends to be sure not to blow anything up. i hope its just my wiring...i will take it out an check it.
